Orchards

Orchards is a small, secluded carp fishing venue tucked away in the peaceful surroundings of Galleywood, Essex. Originally an established club water, we took over the lake in 2016 and quickly restocked it with 50 carp. Since then, the fish have thrived, with the lake now producing carp to an impressive 45lb.

The lake currently holds around 25 thirties, seven of which are over 35lb, alongside a fantastic stock of quality carp. With the lake record standing at 45lb, there is genuine big-fish potential every time you cast out, and we're expecting a couple of new 40lb-plus fish to emerge over the coming winter.

With just 8 well-spaced swims, Orchards offers a quiet and intimate fishing experience, allowing anglers plenty of space and the opportunity to really concentrate on their watercraft. The relatively small size of the lake means it is possible to watch and understand the carp's movements, while the quality of the stock provides a rewarding challenge.

The facilities are excellent, with a large, secure car park, flush toilets and a dedicated 20ft anglers' cabin equipped with a fridge/freezer, microwave and other useful amenities. Everything is designed to make your stay comfortable while allowing you to concentrate on the fishing.

Orchards offers a great combination of peaceful surroundings, a limited number of anglers and an outstanding stock of big carp. With 30lb-plus fish regularly on the cards and the very real possibility of a 40lb-plus capture, every session has the potential to produce something special.
